North Star is a training company set up to deliver a range of special first aid courses. We at North Star recognise the needs of certain groups that just aren’t catered for in the normal world of first aid training. We have always believed that one course for all was not the way to go. We have worked hard on developing a small selection of very unique courses aimed at specific groups, along with the more popular generic courses. Once people have attended a North Star course they never go back.
Our courses are fun and dynamic, fist aid is a doing subject and so are the North Star courses. We know sitting at a table looking at pictures of accidents does little for anyone, so if your bored of the average first aid course then why not give us a try?
North Star First Aid is based in the NW of England and runs courses certified by iTc. We have trainers all over the country and can organise training at your venue or other suitable premises in your local area. All are instructors are fully qualified, full time and regulated by independent verifiers to insure the best quality tuition.
Organising your own Course
Rather than sit in on another course many of our clients prefer to organise and run there own. If you have more than 8 people you can organise your own venue and dates, we will come along an deliver the course of your choice and provide all the training materials and equipment needed for a set fee. First Aid for your environment
You must be an experienced outdoor professional, biker, involved in child care or have experience in the type of first aid course you would like to teach to work for North Star.
We can provide all the necessary training and support to get you started, along with all the help you may need throughout your first aid career.
Most trainers are professionals in their chosen field and have a good underlying knowledge before they start to train in first aid. Potential trainers must have attended a two day course, and the advanced two day course before they can attend the iTc trainers course held at the iTc centre. Once trainers have done the appropriate training they will then shadow and work along side an experienced trainer, until every aspect of the course has been taught under supervision. Trainers are fully supported throughout until they can deliver a course confidently.
